Julie earned a Master’s of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota State University and has continued to pursue additional graduate schooling since the completion of her degree. She has worked with the ASC Clinic since 2002 and has extensive experience working with Veterans facing a range of readjustment and post-deployment mental health issues and assisting families deal with the impact if deployment on the family system. In addition, Julie has experience working with those who have experienced trauma and the related impact on mental health functioning, including co-occurring dual diagnosis conditions. She provides assessment and therapeutic services for Veterans dealing with combat related stress and trauma, PTSD reactions, anxiety, depression, and addiction issues. Treatment modalities include multiple trauma focused approaches including cognitive processing therapy and narrative therapy, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Julie utilizes a strengths-based, client focus approach. Outside the office, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, boating, and camping.
