The Treatment, Recovery and Education Center for adolescent females (TREC)
When you or a teen girl in your life is struggling with emotional and behavioral problems that include an addiction to drugs or alcohol, our Mankato-based residential treatment center is here to offer support and skills to succeed in treatment and ongoing recovery.
Our Treatment, Recovery and Education Center for Adolescent Females (TREC) helps girls ages 13-19 gain awareness of their addiction and related mental health conditions, and provides therapy, education and activities to successfully recover.
The young women who come to our seven-day-a-week, around-the-clock residential treatment center are surrounded by and work with a supportive team of mental health, chemical dependency, family and occupational therapists, as well as an academic teacher and residential technicians.
What we do: not your standard teen treatment program
We understand that chemical dependency is almost always tied to psychological conditions, ranging from social anxiety to trauma. That is why our program is grounded in a whole-person approach, allowing you or your loved one to address addiction and mental health conditions at one time and place.
Our driving mission is to provide a place where teens know they have a team in their corner to help them succeed. Six teens participate in our program at a time and stay at our home-based, residential care facility 24/7, undergoing a customized treatment plan focused on individual goals and needs, including:
- A supportive community
- Individual therapy to address their specific mental health needs
- Group therapy
- Skill-building and self-development programs
- Support groups
- Activities supporting physical health and well-being
- Family involvement with options for teletherapy
- Round-the-clock supervision
- Development of an aftercare plan for success
- Access to follow-up care through our ASC Psychological Services
How to get connected with our residential treatment center
The teens in the TREC program often find their way to us through inquiries or referrals from a family member, medical facility, a church or other group, or county personnel such as case managers, probation officers or child protection workers.
Participants go through an intake process to determine if the program is suitable for their needs. Most insurance is accepted by our program, and many insurers do require a referral and a formal substance abuse examination to determine the level of severity of the teen’s condition.
Contact our office to inquire about insurance. Reach out to your local county agency to ask assistance with the cost of care. Learn more about costs and coverage.
