Tammy received her master’s degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and is currently licensed with the Minnesota Board of Social Work, as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has a history of working in the mental health care industry. As a clinician she provides, individual, adolescents, family, and group therapy. Treatment modalities used provide opportunities for clients to engage in mental health treatment that incorporates their unique needs and strengths. Tammy utilizes a variety of therapeutic technique involving Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief therapy, Narrative therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally focused therapy, and Mindfulness and other relaxation techniques, Motivational Interviewing methods, Trauma Informed practices, person centered and strength-based perspectives, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has experience working with clients in residential and outpatient facilities with co-occurring mental health/ substance abuse diagnoses. Tammy enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, learning new things, taking photographs, and traveling.
